Privacy policy for this Thalassa booking site

When you write to us, we receive your name, your phone number and what you type. A booking adds names as they appear in your passports, the nationalities, the dietary and medical notes that matter on board, and the payment records.

We use this to answer you, to price and run your trip, to register you with the harbor and the park, and to keep our accounts. We do not collect more than a booking needs. Thalassa 1 has 5 cabins and Thalassa 2 has 9, and the crew needs the names and the dietary notes, not your life story.

This site measures how pages are used with an analytics tool that records interactions such as clicks and scrolling. It is separate from your booking data.

Our team reads your messages. Service providers handle parts of the work: WhatsApp for messaging, payment providers for card and online payments, an email service for confirmations, and cloud storage for backups. They receive what each task needs and nothing more.

A few of these providers sit outside Indonesia, the United States among them. An AI service can help our team draft or route a reply, and a person is involved in every decision about your booking and its price.

We share your names with the boat's crew, the harbor office and the park office so that you can sail. We do not sell your data.

We keep booking and payment records for as long as Indonesian tax and accounting law requires. Chat history stays with us until you ask us to delete it, and backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.

To end it, send a deletion request by email to info@komodoexplorer.com with the subject "Data deletion request", or through the same WhatsApp thread, from the phone number or email on your booking. We confirm receipt within a few business days, and we complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying who you are.

We keep the minimum needed for tax records or a legal claim, and we remove the rest. WhatsApp keeps its own copy of a conversation under its own terms, and deleting ours does not delete it.

You can ask to see the data we hold, to correct it or to have it erased. Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU No. 27 of 2022) and, for guests in Europe, the GDPR give you those rights.

Advertising measurement is optional. With your consent, we share an irreversibly hashed email or phone number with Google and Meta to measure whether an ad led to a booking. You can decline or withdraw consent on the privacy banner at any time, and your service and price stay the same.
