Komodo graduation trip: a whole class on one phinisi

Updated 23 October 2026

A graduation trip on Thalassa 2 takes up to 27 friends in 9 cabins; 3D2N for 20 to 27 is IDR 124,500,000 (≈ USD 7,638), which is IDR 4,610,000 (≈ USD 283) each at 27. The price already includes fuel, so your quote shows one all-in rate for your guest band.

Twenty-seven classmates, one deposit

The money is the hard part of a graduation trip, and the rule is simple: one booking, one deposit, one balance. Pay 50 percent to hold the date and the rest 30 days before sailing. Pick one person to collect, and collect early.

The rate is for the whole boat. The 3D2N bands are IDR 112,500,000 (≈ USD 6,902) for 12 to 16, IDR 118,500,000 (≈ USD 7,270) for 17 to 19 and IDR 124,500,000 (≈ USD 7,638) for 20 to 27. Per head at 27 that is IDR 4,610,000 (≈ USD 283). The rate already includes fuel, and park tickets at IDR 250,000 per person per day for international guests are separate.

Whole boat means one party: your class, and nobody else on deck.

Bunks and twins for friends

Thalassa 2 has a Master cabin for 3 on the upper deck, four private twins for 2, a shared twin for 4 and two bunk cabins, 7 and 8, for up to 6 guests each. That is room for 27. Friends choose the bunk cabins because they sleep six and keep the group together.

All cabins are air-conditioned. Bathroom type is confirmed in writing before you pay. The allocation of names to cabins is done by your group, and we confirm the final plan with the quote.

The bed-by-bed table is on the Thalassa 2 berths and rates page.

Three days, and who goes where

A class does not move as one, and the route allows for that. On day 1 everyone is on the pickup, the boarding and the Kelor hill, and everyone is on deck for Kalong at dusk. Day 2 splits the class: the early risers climb Padar before sunrise and the others sleep until breakfast.

The group comes back together for the ranger-led Komodo walk of 45 to 120 minutes, then Pink Beach, Taka Makassar or Manta Point, with a canoe and 2 SUP boards for anyone who wants the water without a mask. The second night ends in the karaoke room. Day 3 is Kanawa and the harbor.

The stop list by day is on the 3 days, 2 nights page, and the captain settles the order by the weather.

Costs and age

Children under 3 are free when accompanied; from age 3 a person counts as a guest, and we do not set a minimum age on this page. Every guest on a private charter counts toward the head count that sets the band, so check the number against 12, 17 and 20 before you ask for a quote.

Outside the rate: flights, hotels, travel insurance, crew tips, a drone permit, park tickets, ranger fees, and the guide and photo and video documentation, which are available on request and quoted separately.

When the class is smaller

A class of 12 or more is a Thalassa 2 party. Fewer than 12 pay the 12 to 16 band, IDR 112,500,000 (≈ USD 6,902) for 3D2N, so a group of ten or eleven should read the comparison page before asking for a quote.

The Charter page lists every band. Alcohol and entertainment beyond the karaoke room are not part of any claim on this site; ask us in writing what you need.

FAQ

Is there a minimum group?

On Thalassa 2 the lowest band starts at 12 guests, so groups under 12 pay the 12 to 16 band, IDR 112,500,000 (≈ USD 6,902) for 3D2N.

Can we split payments?

The booking has one invoice. A 50 percent deposit holds the date, and the rest is settled 30 days before the boat leaves. Your group collects from its members; separate invoices per person are not offered unless we confirm them in writing.

Is music allowed?

Thalassa 2 has a karaoke room; we describe no sound system beyond that. Quiet hours and volume on deck follow the captain's rules and the weather. Ask us about specific equipment and we answer in writing.

What if we are under 12?

Then you still pay the 12 to 16 band on Thalassa 2, IDR 112,500,000 (≈ USD 6,902), as a whole boat. A class of 11 or fewer fits Thalassa 1, and the comparison page sets the two boats side by side.
