Komodo National Park fees 2027
Updated 23 October 2026
KEXI's park package per guest: 3D2N: IDR 650,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest. Komodo National Park fees for 2027 are never in a Thalassa fare: IDR 250,000 per person per day for foreign visitors, IDR 50,000 for Indonesian citizens on weekdays and IDR 75,000 at weekends, under PP 36/2024. The park package we quote per guest already holds the ranger, the local levies and the entrance ticket of IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day (PP 36/2024), and it comes on top of the boat price unless your written quote lists it as included. Each visitor buys a ticket, and your quote shows how to budget it.
Park tickets sit beside the rate, never inside it
Komodo National Park tickets and ranger fees are never part of the fare. They are a second bill that runs beside the charter rate, and your written quote lists the line so you can budget for both.
Entry is charged per person per day under PP 36/2024. A foreign visitor pays IDR 250,000 every day of the week. Indonesian citizens pay IDR 50,000 on a weekday and IDR 75,000 on weekends and public holidays. Snorkeling has no separate park levy, since it is covered by the entry ticket.
A multi-day cruise pays for each day it spends inside the park. Your quote counts the days with you, because the first and last mornings sit partly outside it.
| Trip | Foreign guest | Indonesian guest |
|---|---|---|
| 3D2N | IDR 650,000 | IDR 350,000 |
One package covers the government entrance ticket (IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day, PP 36/2024), the ranger fee and the local levies. It is quoted per guest and paid on top of the boat price, unless your quote says it is included. For other trip lengths, the desk quotes the package with your booking.
| International visitors | IDR 250,000 per person per day |
| Indonesian visitors | IDR 50,000 per person per day · IDR 75,000 weekends & holidays |
Regulation: PP 36/2024 · Verified 10 October 2026.
A calculator for your group
The table works the sum for groups of 2, 4 and 10 across one, two and three days. It uses the foreign-visitor rate, so a mixed group subtracts the difference for each Indonesian guest.
For a couple on a Thalassa 1 private charter, the park line is the rate times two guests times the days you sail in the park. For 11 guests on the same boat, multiply by 11. For a group of 27 on Thalassa 2, multiply by 27, and add the ranger line.
The park line scales with heads and days, and the charter rate does not. A larger group pays more park tickets and shares one boat rate, which is part of why Thalassa 2 reads differently per person.
| Guests | Days | International | Indonesian | Indonesian · weekends & holidays |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 1 | IDR 500,000 | IDR 100,000 | IDR 150,000 |
| 2 | 2 | IDR 1,000,000 | IDR 200,000 | IDR 300,000 |
| 2 | 3 | IDR 1,500,000 | IDR 300,000 | IDR 450,000 |
| 4 | 1 | IDR 1,000,000 | IDR 200,000 | IDR 300,000 |
| 4 | 2 | IDR 2,000,000 | IDR 400,000 | IDR 600,000 |
| 4 | 3 | IDR 3,000,000 | IDR 600,000 | IDR 900,000 |
| 10 | 1 | IDR 2,500,000 | IDR 500,000 | IDR 750,000 |
| 10 | 2 | IDR 5,000,000 | IDR 1,000,000 | IDR 1,500,000 |
| 10 | 3 | IDR 7,500,000 | IDR 1,500,000 | IDR 2,250,000 |
The calculator shows the government entrance ticket alone. KEXI's park package already includes it, together with the ranger fee and local levies. Verified 10 October 2026.
Rangers, camera permits and the drone
No one walks on Komodo, Rinca or Padar without a park ranger. The park package we quote per guest already holds the ranger, the local levies and the entrance ticket of IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day (PP 36/2024), and it comes on top of the boat price unless your written quote lists it as included. No published ranger tariff exists, so the figure for your group is confirmed in the written quote.
Personal photographs and phone pictures carry no fee. Commercial photography and filming are charged by the park per package and location. A drone needs a prior permit and a daily fee per drone, and you should ask us before packing one.
On a private charter the guide and photo and video documentation are not included; both are available on request and quoted separately. A park permit for the camera is a separate matter, and we explain it when you ask.
Fees in a honeymoon price
A honeymoon price is a charter rate or an open-trip seat, plus park tickets for two. Park tickets are the line couples forget, and it is the line that surprises most.
Here is the sum for two foreign guests on a 3D2N: two tickets for each day inside the park, plus a ranger line. Your quote lists the days. The charter rate is IDR 50,500,000 (≈ USD 3,098) for the whole of Thalassa 1, fuel included, and the park tickets come on top.
Tickets are bought online through the park's own system, SiOra, with each visitor registered by name and passport number. There is no cash at the gate, and the boat company buys them for you. Ask to see the e-ticket issued in your own name.
Where a 2027 fee change shows up
Fees change, and the figures on this page were checked on 10 October 2026. A higher foreign-visitor fee has been under study since April 2026, and as of that date no new amount or start date has been announced.
If the park changes the fee before your balance is due, we tell you first, and the new line appears in your written quote. A daily visitor cap has applied at Padar, Rinca and Komodo since 1 April 2026, in time sessions, and the figure has been revised during the year.
Our charter prices hold until a 2027 list is issued. If a change lands before your balance is due, we tell you first, and you may cancel without charge.
FAQ
How much is the entry fee to Komodo Island?
A foreign visitor pays IDR 250,000 for each person, each day. Indonesian citizens pay IDR 50,000 on weekdays and IDR 75,000 at weekends and public holidays. The ticket covers trekking, wildlife viewing and snorkeling. Ranger and local levies belong to the same park package.
Are park fees included in the honeymoon price?

Who pays the ranger?
Ranger and local levies belong to the same park package. No published tariff exists, so the amount for your group is confirmed in your written quote. The ranger walks with you on Komodo, Rinca and Padar.

Do park fees change in 2027?
They can change. A higher foreign-visitor fee was under study as of 10 October 2026, with no amount or date announced. If the fee changes before your balance is due, we tell you first and update the quote line. Charter rates stay on the current list until the 2027 one is issued.
