Solo traveler seats on the Thalassa 1 open trip: how it works

Updated 23 October 2026

A solo traveler joins the Thalassa 1 open trip as one of at most 11 guests: 2D1N from IDR 4,050,000 (≈ USD 248) and 3D2N from IDR 6,650,000 (≈ USD 408) per person. These are from-prices for a seat, and the cabin is assigned at booking. Whether a single-guest supplement applies is confirmed in writing before you pay.

What a seat is, and what is confirmed in writing

A seat is one place in a cabin on a scheduled departure. The from-prices above are per person. They are the lowest fares for each route; the cabin type is assigned at booking and confirmed in writing before you pay.

Balcony master cabins on an open trip are on request and never guaranteed. A cabin all to yourself is a different question. Whether a single-guest supplement applies has not been published, so we confirm it in writing before you pay and never after.

Another option is the whole boat. Thalassa 1 is priced for 1 to 5 guests at IDR 50,500,000 (≈ USD 3,098) for the 3D2N, and a solo traveler who wants a private boat can read that as the price of privacy. It is one all-in figure for the whole boat, and it already includes fuel.

The dates you can join

Open-trip dates are one-off departures and not a weekly pattern. There are 4 upcoming dates, and the next is Thursday, 12 November 2026. The list below shows each one with its length, and a date held by a private charter is removed.

Thalassa 2 has no open trip. It sails as a whole-boat private charter only, so every seat on this page is on Thalassa 1.

For 2027, ask for any date. We tell you whether a private charter or an open trip can sail it.

Scheduled departures only; our team confirms seats for each date.

Stepping aboard with ten strangers

At most 11 guests sail on Thalassa 1, so at most ten others share the deck with you. Meals are at one dining table, the sundeck holds the group in the afternoon and the snorkeling is in the water together.

Meeting point and time are confirmed in writing with your booking, and the cruise leader and crew meet the group at the harbor. A safety briefing comes first.

Tell us about dietary needs, mobility and swimming ability when you book. We pass them to the crew, so nobody finds out on the first morning.

Gear for one, rules for all

Pack a soft bag, closed shoes with grip, a hat, reef-safe sunscreen and a head torch for the Padar climb. Snorkeling gear, a canoe and paddle boards are free to use on board, and a mask of your own is your choice.

Park tickets and ranger fees are never part of the fare. Foreign visitors pay IDR 250,000 per person per day, and the quote lists the line. A crew gratuity is not part of the fare either.

Land in Labuan Bajo the day before sailing, and fly home after 14:00 on the day you return. Pickup is free both ways, so you do not need to plan a taxi.

FAQ

Could I end up sharing a cabin with someone I don't know?

On an open trip you book a seat, and the cabin is assigned at booking. Sharing depends on who else books that date. If you want a cabin alone, ask us before you pay and we confirm in writing whether a supplement applies.

Is a single supplement charged?

A single-guest supplement has not been published, so we do not state one here. We confirm in writing before you pay whether one applies to your date and cabin. The alternative is the whole of Thalassa 1 as a private charter.

Can I join the 3D2N or only the 2D1N?

Both exist. The dates are one-off, and each carries its own length: 3D2N or 2D1N. The next departure is Thursday, 12 November 2026, and there are 4 upcoming dates in the list. Ask us for 2027 dates, and we check them against the owner's calendar.

How many people are on board?

At most 11 guests sail, and Thalassa 1 has 5 cabins. The cruise leader and the crew sail with you. Thalassa 2, the larger boat, runs no open trips, so a solo traveler never ends up among 27 guests on a shared sailing.
