A cruise leader, captain and crew sail with every trip. Bookings and payments are handled by PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia.
What our team does for each reservation
The person who handles your booking answers your first message, sends a written quote with one all-in rate, fuel included, and the lines that sit outside the fare, and keeps your dates on the calendar.
After that we take the deposit, set the schedule for the balance, arrange pickup, and register your names for the harbor and the park. If a boat cannot sail, we provide a phinisi of the same class or higher on the same dates at no extra cost, or refund you in full within 14 days.
The same person can help with a hotel, a flight question or a celebration on deck.
What stays with the owner and the crew
The boats, the captain and the crew belong to the owner. The captain runs the boat, decides the route on the day and answers for the safety of everyone aboard. We do not operate the boats, and we do not claim to.
The captain decides the anchorages and the stops on the day, and that decision is not ours to promise or to change from an office on shore.
The cruise leader and crew sail with you, and they work for the owner.

Do you own Thalassa 1 or Thalassa 2?
No. Both boats belong to their owner, who also runs them. We are the booking partner: we sell the trips, answer your questions and are responsible for your booking, while the captain and crew run the boat. Thalassa 1 has 5 cabins and Thalassa 2 has 9.
If the boat stays in port, who answers for it?
We do. When a breakdown or an order from the harbor master or the park keeps the boat in port, we put you on a phinisi of the same class or higher on the same dates at no extra cost, or refund you in full within 14 days.
Do you charge what the boats' owner charges?
The rates on this site are the 2026 rates we quote, and your written quote is what binds us. We do not publish what the owner charges anyone else, and we add no platform fee to the figures you see.
Which legal entity books the trip?
PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia, NIB 1805260128363, with its office in Labuan Bajo. The name on your invoice and your deposit receipt is the company's, and a company can ask for an invoice made out to it. The owner of the boats is a separate party.
