Komodo couples cruise: two people, a small phinisi, a table on deck

An anniversary doesn't need a theme. It needs a quiet table and a place to sit after the plates are cleared. On Thalassa 1 the evening runs like this: the anchor goes down, the crew lays the table on deck, and dinner arrives.

Eleven guests is the ceiling, and a couple on a private charter has the whole hull. Even on an open trip the boat is small enough that you will know every face by the second morning. Only 2 of the 5 cabins have a private balcony, and an open-trip booking does not guarantee one, so say so when you ask.

If dinner is a celebration, tell us. Special dinners, cabin or deck decoration and a photographer are all handled on request and quoted before anything is added. No menu is promised on this site; the crew's chef cooks Asian and Indonesian meals.

An open-trip seat costs IDR 4,050,000 (≈ USD 248) per person for 2D1N and IDR 6,650,000 (≈ USD 408) per person for 3D2N. For two people, that's two seats. The whole boat for two, 2D1N, is IDR 41,500,000 (≈ USD 2,546), and for 3D2N it is IDR 50,500,000 (≈ USD 3,098), fuel included. Two seats cost far less than the whole boat.

What the difference buys you is the calendar. On an open trip you sail on the dates the boat sails: Thursday, 12 November 2026 is the next. On a charter you choose the dates, the pace and who is aboard. The Charter page lists every band, each one all-in.

Seat prices are shown as from-prices because the cabin type sets the final fare, and the balcony Master cabin on an open trip is on request.

On the 2D1N. Day 1 is Kelor, a 15 to 30 minute walk to a view of the bay, then the first snorkel at Manjarite, then Kalong at dusk, where the flying foxes leave the mangroves over about 30 minutes while you watch from the boat. Dinner follows. Day 2 is the Padar ridge before sunrise, 25 to 45 minutes up, and Pink Beach for a swim before the harbor.

On the 3D2N. The same first day, then a longer second one: Padar, the ranger-led walk on Komodo, Pink Beach, the Taka Makassar sandbar or Manta Point. Day 3 is Kanawa and the sail back.

For two, the third day is the one that slows down. Both routes, stop by stop, are on the 2 days, 1 night and 3 days, 2 nights pages; the weather and the captain set the order.

The park package we quote per guest already holds the ranger, the local levies and the entrance ticket of IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day (PP 36/2024). It is added to the boat price, unless your quote shows it as included. The guide and photo documentation are not in a private fare. Flights and hotels are yours. Pay 50 percent to hold the date and the rest 30 days before sailing.

As for the days either side, land in Labuan Bajo the day before you sail, because a late flight is the one thing the boat can't wait for.
